Z4 Series DC Motor
The Z4 series DC motor(center height: 100 mm-450 mm)can be used in various industrial departments. Such as rolling mill, metal cutting machine tool, paper making. dyeing and weaving, printing industry, cement factory, plastic extrusion equipment and so on.
They are suitable in areas where wide-range speed adjustment is needed and the overloading capacity does not exceed 1.6 times of rated torque. Upward speed adjustment by constant power weak field method can reach 1.0-3.0 times of rated speed. Downward speed adjustment by constant torque and decreased amature voltage method can reach 20rpm.
Model description:
The letter "B" stands for motor with compensating winding. Only applicable to Z4-250 and Z4-280.
The digit 1,2 for short and long endshield.
As regards frame size 112, the first digit means number of poles and the second digit for core length.
The letter "Z" for dc motor; the digit "4" for ordinal number of the forth series design.

Protection and Cooling Method.
1. protection of the whole series is IP21S.
2. Modes of cooling for all the motors are separate cooling and forced ventilated. Cooling fans are radially mounted, separtely powered and attached with an air filter. Modes of cooling for motors can be made into types of IC06, IC17 and IC37.
3. Location of the cooling fan.
a. For frame 100mm to frame 160mm, the cooling fan is mounted on the non-drive side.
b. For frame 180mm to frame 450mm, the cooling fan is mounted on the drive side.
c. The required cooling air volume, air pressue and fan motor output are shown below (Table 1):

Terminal box as request can be mounted on the top or on the lefthand side.
